Hashbrowns

I would like to settle this once and for all. I first made a breakfast casserole using frozen hashbrowns right out of the package…terrible results, watery and ruined the whole dish. Then I heard you are suppose to thaw the hashbrowns before using, then the other day I was instructed in one of your recipes to prepare the hashbrowns according to the package. Which is it. I don’t want another ruined casserole.

Joan, we always put our hashbrowns in frozen. Sorry you are having problems with your breakfast casseroles.

When the recipe calls for hashbrowns, do you mean diced or shredded hashbrowns?

We use diced or Homestyle…not shredded. Hope this helps.
