A: www.buttonsandbows.com My sisters and I enjoy all phases of the antique business; as we hunt for vintage items to sell at the Frisco Mercantile, antique shows and from our website.
Q: Who do you admire?
A: My sisters are an inspiration to me.
Q: How does slow cooking change your day; perhaps your life?
A: I have always multi-tasked. I can continue to get maximum accomplished whether I am busy at home or out and about with my guests; the slow cooker has become my in-house chef as dinner is ready at whatever time I schedule it to be ready.
Q: How did you find out about the Crockin’ Girls?
A: I had the pleasure of meeting them at the Dallas Gift Market in June as they were introducing their cookbook and preparing a special dish for a demonstration.
Q: What is the best advice you have given or received?
A: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean notunto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct Thy paths.” Romans 3:5
Q: What does family mean to you?
A: Everything. I have 3 wonderful sons who have gifted me with 7 grandchildren as well as 2 daughter-in-laws. I am blessed to have 2 brothers and 3 sisters and we have a very close relationship.
Q: A Dream Vacation?
A: Due to my business responsibilities, I am unable to be gone more much more than a long weekend. Thus, we sisters are always planning a Buying Trip for our hobby nusiness or participating in an antique show.
Q: Best Organizing Tip
A: Always work from a To-Do List. We all are given 24 hours. I have found my first 8 hours I work at my business. I bring it to a close with a nap. When I awake, I am refreshed and I work at my hobby business for the next 8 hours. Managing and organizing time is my best tip.
Q: Must have beauty product?
A: A smile.
Q: Weird Habit?
A: One of the benefits of working from your home is my attire. I practically live in my nightgown of which I call my uniform.
Q: You always wanted to..
A: Be thin! But, in exchange; I have enjoyed food my whole life and since I am healthy and taking no medications at the age of 76, I probably never will be thin but I will be happy.
