We have been getting pretty crafty with all of the Pinterest activity going on with Crockin’ Girls! We saw these cute planters and couldn’t resist making “Crockin’ Girls” inspired planters!
Step 1: Get 3 terra cotta pots (small medium and large) and paint them however you would like. We got funky using various sponges, brushes and stencils…not to mention the color combinations!
I don’t know about y’all, but summertime is my favorite time of the year. It just brings a smile to my face. I love all of the smells of summer, but my absolute favorite smell of summertime is sunscreen on my babies.
I pretty much grew up on the boat during the summer. As soon as school was out, we would load up the RV and head to the lake. My Nanee and Pop would be right behind us in their motor home as well. We would spend weeks at a time boating, tubing, skiing, swimming, and always eating great food. My Nanee rarely went out on the boat with us, but she was always waiting with a smile on her face and a spread of food for us to eat so we could have our tummies full and hit the lake again. She loved that she could provide a meal that everyone enjoyed. She always had something for everyone. Sweet pickles for my sister and dill for my brother, a homegrown tomato sliced up for my Pop, cucumbers and onion for my mom and aunt and dessert (my absolute favorite) was always awaiting. We would go all day and then play games late into the night while sitting on the patio with the smell of charcoal in the air.
This chest is about 1 1/2 ft tall and has perfect drawers to hold a lot of my big bracelets and necklaces, instead of them taking up my precious bathroom storage (closet space and storage in my house is hard to come by)! I know I want to leave the woven part as is, but I want to refinish the wooden part. Would love some ideas on what I should do with it :)
