NaDell – “My mom’s recipe for sweet cinnamon bread. She used to make it into candy cane shapes and freeze it to bake it on Christmas morning. I adapted the idea to make wreaths for close to 40 friends. I freeze them in pie tins so they can make it on Christmas morning (or whenever they want to since no one likes stale bread.)”
And the WINNER of our 1st Anniversary Contest is….
Julie Wagner of Beaverton, Oregon!!! Here is how Crockin’ has changed her lifestyle! Thanks to EVERYONE who entered. It was such a joy to read stories and see your photos.
“Slow Cooking gives me more time to play WITH my kids vs. spending hours in the kitchen cooking FOR my kids. With five kids ages one to seven, I need all the help I can get! It also gives me an easy way to introduce new foods to my kiddos and hubby. The house smells so good all afternoon everyone is always ready for dinner. :) Not having to cook dinner during my kids’ “witching hour” 5-6pm, makes for a happy Mommy. If Mommy’s happy, everyone’s happy!”
This is what Julie does while the Crock is doing the cookin’!
